About the Role

Work Life/Personal Life Balance Focused. We are a budding privately-owned small animal clinic in north Ozark, MO. Central to everything, we are 10 minutes out of Springfield, 10 minutes out of Nixa and 40 minutes out of Branson. We've just moved into our spacious new clinic with plenty of room for growth. We focus on quality over quantity and want our team members to have a stress-free experience. There are no overnight emergencies or an on-call system.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health and diagnose conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Perform surgical procedures ensuring highest standards of care and aseptic technique.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications while educating owners.
  • Utilize veterinary terminology effectively with clients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate medical records (history and progress notes).
  • Provide guidance on husbandry, nutrition, and preventive care.
  • Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress.
  • Collaborate with RVT staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Stay current with advancements through continuous education.

Responsibilities
  • Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling for dogs and other pets.
  • Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
  • Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Communicate with pet owners about grooming services, pet health, and any concerns observed during grooming sessions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
  • Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used during grooming procedures.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in pet grooming.
  • Strong skills in dog handling and animal care, with an understanding of various breeds’ grooming needs.
  • Experience in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
  • Knowledge of pet care practices including bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
  • Previous experience in kennel environments or pet sitting is a plus.
