Dr. Meda Bacon

Dr. Meda Bacon (formerly Dr. McClure) grew up in the southwest MO area. Her family had everything from horses to rabbits. She has always had a talent for working with animals and has centered her life around the care and companionship of all species. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Missouri State University in Animal Sciences and Behavior while working as a veterinary technician. She then graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and spent her clinical year at Colorado State University.

Dr. Bacon then moved back to her home state and spent a few years as an associate in a mixed animal practice. There she had the opportunity to diagnose and treat many different diseases for a variety of species. It was here she saw the importance of compassionate geriatric care and the critical need for gentle in-home euthanasia services in the area. After starting Greener Pastures, Dr. Bacon soon expanded and opened a full-service clinic, McClure Veterinary Clinic, in Ozark, MO.

In her spare time, Dr. Bacon is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, horseback riding and scuba diving.
