Beth Carey

Head Veterinary Technician

Beth is our head technician; she is certified in Ultrasound and Echo. She has been with McClure Veterinary Clinic since its opening in October 2017. Beth’s first job was with Dr. Tedd Hamaker, the original owner of GVV, until his passing.

Beth is a very knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring technician with over 22 years of solid experience. Animals naturally gravitate to her as she always has a way of putting them at ease. Some of Beth’s hobbies include dancing, playing guitar, working out, fishing, and hunting.

Beth’s wing-pup is Maple, they go everywhere together. Maple can be seen riding shotgun cruising around in Beth’s car picking up chicks. They like to go out and play in the woods or just enjoy the outdoors.

A fun fact about Beth is that she knows her self-worth and won’t accept anything else.

Amanda Bonner-Cramer

Office Manager

Amanda is our Office Manager; she is always willing to help with any aspect of the clinic. Amanda has been with McClure Veterinary Clinic since January 2018. She has been in the veterinary field for 20 years, and has been both a veterinary receptionist and a veterinary technician.

Amanda’s love for animals has been life-long. Growing up on a farm gave Amanda experience with a variety of animals making it obvious that the veterinary field was her calling. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and animals. She also enjoys reading, crafts, and being outdoors.

Amanda is married and has 3 children: Weston, Montana, and Irelynn. They all live on a small hobby farm with their animals, which consist of 5 dogs: Toodles, Beckett, Ziva, Maverick, and Goose; 5 cats: Jaded, Emerald, Bob, International, and Runt; a rabbit: Sir Bounce-A-Lot; a turtle: Tucker; 2 axolotls: Kraken and Medusa; a donkey: Smokey; 2 pot-bellied pigs: Ethel and Pickles; 2 cows: Frank and Nancy; 3 goats and 10 chickens.

Stephanie Binder

Veterinary Technician

Stephanie is our Veterinary Technician and has been with McClure Veterinary Clinic for 3.5 years. She has a total 7 years in the veterinary field and 8 years in the grooming field. Stephanie has had a love for animals since she was very young. When she isn’t working, she likes to take her dogs to the river to swim and kayak. Stephanie has 3 dogs: Sadie, Moose, and Nero; 2 cats: Paul and Karen, and a 4-year-old Ball Python: Orochi. We asked Stephanie to tell us a little about her crew.

“Sadie is a 12-year-old Pitbull/Beagle mix. She came to us all the way from Pensacola Florida. My best friend adopted Sadie from the Humane Society when Sadie was just under 1 year old. Sadie had been adopted and sent back 3 times already even though she is such a good girl. My friend wasn’t able to keep her and I couldn’t bear to let her go back to the Humane Society again. One plane ticket later, she was on her way to us and her forever home, where she has lived happily with my brother and I for 11 years now.

Moose is a 4-year-old Siberian Husky. Moose ran right up to me and jumped into my car one morning while I was leaving for work. When I located his owner, they didn’t want him back because he was constantly escaping their yard. I was determined to not let that be his life again, so with a 10-foot privacy fence and tons of training he became one of the best dogs I’ve ever had. I couldn’t be happier that he walked into my driveway that day.

Nero is a 1-year-old German shepherd mix. She has more energy than any other pet I’ve had, but with one finger snap, she focuses every ounce of it on me. Whether she is learning to play dead or to breath from a medicated nebulizing breathing mask, she puts forth 110% effort and makes me proud every time.

Paul & Karen are our 2 precious tabby cats. They are quite happy snuggling on their cat tree on most days.

Orochi is a 4-year-old Ball Python that I got as a tiny 6-month-old baby. She spends her days stretched out in her 150-gallon tank where she coils around her vines under her heat lamp. She is the sweetest little girl that is always a favorite with my coworkers when she gets to come to the clinic.

Becky Cummins

Head Veterinary Receptionist

Becky is our Head Veterinary Receptionist. She has been with McClure Veterinary Clinic since July 2019. Becky is an Air Force brat who spent 20 years in Florida before moving to Springfield in 2017. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2011 and enjoys meeting new clients and their pets. When not at work, she enjoys reading, baking, painting, and going to the movies. Becky lives with her sister, niece, and four dogs, Daisy, Keva, Nannerz, and Mudbug.

Daisy, an American Bulldog, was adopted from the Humane Society in Florida. She is the sweetest girl, and loves everyone, but her farts are nuclear!

Keva, a Jack Russell Terrier, was also adopted from the Humane Society. She is a firm believer that attitude trumps size every time and keeps all the other dogs in line.

Nannerz is a lab mix who loves to hang out in the yard, making sure the squirrels don’t take over. Her favorite thing in the world is food and she will not let you forget when it is meal time.

Mudbug is a Great Dane mix from Rescue One. He loves walkies and playing with Daisy (the butt swing is his signature move), but lives in fear of the Kevanator!

Lindsey Bryant

Veterinary Receptionist

Lindsey is one of our friendly Veterinary Receptionists. She has been with McClure Veterinary Clinic since May 2020. Lindsey has enjoyed working with animals for the past 10 years. She has 2 fur babies: Sapphira and Arrow, and she loves coming home to snuggles every day. While animals have always been a passion of Lindsey’s, some of her other interests include reading, music, and the outdoors.

Zoe Neal

Veterinary Receptionist

Zoe is also one of our friendly Veterinary Receptionists. She has been with McClure Veterinary Clinic since April 2021. Zoe enjoys creating projects with her laser machine. She also enjoys spending time with her family and snuggling with her fur babies; Greta (her dog), Toothless (her cat), and Steve, Bilbo, and Arlo (her ferrets).
