Safety Protocol

  • Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper (DA2PP/L4).
  • Cats: Rabies & FVRCP vaccines required.
  • Health: Yearly negative fecal exam required.
  • Hygiene: Current flea/tick prevention required.

Stay Essentials

  • Meds: Must be in original bottles with vet label.
  • Food: Please bring home food in sealed containers.
  • Toys: Slow feeders and personal items welcome.
  • Policy: Charges apply if fleas/ticks are found.

Boarding FAQ

Do I have to bring my own food for my pet?

Yes please…your dog will want to eat his/her food from home, so they don’t get an upset stomach by eating new food. We ask that you bring food from home in individual bags or a sealed container (no open food bags). However, we offer in-house dry kibble for both dogs and cats, if needed.

What is required to board a dog at McClure Boarding?

We require all dogs to be up to date on the Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella, and Intestinal parasite exams. This can also be done here with us during their stay (additional fees will be incurred.) They need to be on flea/tick prevention and be flea-free upon arrival. If we find flea/ticks on your dog you will be charged for flea/tick medication.

What is required to board a cat at McClure Boarding?

We require all cats to be up to date on Rabies and FVR-CP (feline distemper) vaccines. This can also be done here with us during their stay (additional fees will be incurred.) They need to be on flea/tick prevention and be flea-free upon arrival. If we find flea/ticks on your dog you will be charged for flea/tick medication. We provide litter and litter boxes.

Are boarding reservations required?

Yes, boarding reservations are required prior to your stay with us at McClure Boarding.

What extras are offered during the boarding stay?

Can I bring blankets/toys/food bowls from home?

Toys and slow feeders are welcome, but we have plenty of blankets and beds. We provide food/water bowls, blankets, cots, and some toys for pets during their stay. (Please let us know if your pet is known to destroy/eat bedding or toys)

If I have more than one dog, can they board together?

Yes, if they get along with each other. If they fight over food or fight with another dog, then they will be separated.

What days can I drop off or pick up my pet?

Monday through Friday drop-off & pick up times are 7am-6pm. Saturday & Sunday drop-off & pick-up times are 9-10am & 5-6pm.
