Cat Boarding in Ozark, MO
A quiet feline room away from the dogs, with cat condos, daily litter and bedding, and medication care inside our veterinary clinic.
Calm, Clean Cat Boarding at a Veterinary Clinic
McClure Veterinary Clinic offers cat boarding in a quiet feline room, separate from the dogs, at 5261 N 22nd St in Ozark, MO. Cats stay in individual cat condos with litter, litter boxes and fresh bedding provided daily, and our team gives medications during the stay. Cats must be current on rabies and FVRCP vaccines. Reservations are required: call (417) 731-4071 and press 2, or use the boarding form.
Cats are creatures of habit, and being away from home can be stressful. That is why our feline room is set apart from the dog boarding area, away from the barking.
Boarding inside a full-service veterinary clinic also means medication administration and health monitoring are included, our veterinarians are on site during clinic hours, and if your cat is due for vaccines or a fecal exam, we can take care of it during the stay (additional fees apply).
Inside Our Feline Room
- Individual cat condos in a quiet room just for cats.
- Litter and litter boxes provided, with litter and premium bedding refreshed daily.
- Food and water bowls provided. Toys from home are welcome.
- Medication and monitoring included with every stay.
Please tell us if your cat tends to eat bedding or toys so we can adjust their setup.
Cat Boarding Requirements
To protect every feline guest, cats must be up to date on:
- Rabies
- FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia, often called the feline distemper vaccine)
- Intestinal parasite exam: a negative fecal exam within the past year
- Flea prevention: cats must be on prevention and flea-free at arrival. If we find fleas or ticks, you will be charged for flea/tick medication.
If your cat needs a vaccine or fecal exam, we can do it during the stay for an additional fee, or schedule it ahead of time with our vaccination services. New to McClure? Start with our new client form and send your cat’s records.
Boarding Senior Cats and Cats with Medical Needs
Cats with diabetes, thyroid disease, arthritis or other ongoing conditions often need daily medication and a careful eye. At McClure, medication administration and health monitoring are included with every boarding stay, and our veterinarians are on site during clinic hours if a concern comes up.
Before the stay, let us know your cat’s diagnosis, medication schedule and any recent changes. If your cat is due for vaccines or a fecal exam, we can take care of it during the stay (additional fees apply). Learn more about our senior pet care.
What to Pack for Your Cat
- Your cat’s regular food in individual bags or a sealed container (no open bags). Keeping the same food helps prevent an upset stomach. In-house dry kibble is available if needed.
- Medications in their original bottles with the veterinary label.
- A secure carrier for drop-off and pick-up.
- A favorite toy, if your cat has one.
- Written notes on feeding amounts, medication times and any quirks we should know.
Tips to Help Your Cat Settle In
- Practice with the carrier. Leave it out at home for a few days with a soft towel inside so it feels familiar.
- Keep the diet the same before and during the stay.
- Book vaccines early. If your cat is overdue for rabies, FVRCP or a fecal exam, schedule it before boarding so travel day is simple.
- Share their routine. Feeding times, favorite hiding spots and how your cat likes to be handled help our team keep things familiar.
